Anirudh Ravichander-Kavya Maran wedding: Kalanithi Maran invites PM Narendra Modi, Tamil Nadu CM Vijay to daughter's wedding reception

Music composer Anirudh Ravichander and Hyderabad Sunrisers CEO Kavya Maran are reportedly set to get married in November, followed by a wedding reception on November 21. Kavya's parents, Kalanithi and Kavery Maran, personally met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu CM Vijay to present them with the wedding reception invitations.

Sun Group Chairman Kalanithi and his wife Kavery Maran met Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend an invitation to their daughter Kavya Maran and Anirudh Ravichander's wedding celebrations.

Photographs shared by Sun TV show the couple presenting the invitation, with Anirudh’s parents, Lakshmi and Ravichander, also present during the visit.

Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Vijay also received the reception invitation, and several pictures have gone viral on social media showing Anirudh, Kavya's parents and Vijay.

Kalanithi Maran, accompanied by his wife Kavery Maran and Anirudh, personally met Vijay to invite him to the celebrations. Sun TV shared pictures of the meeting on its official X handle, drawing attention amid ongoing speculation about the couple’s wedding plans.

In a separate meeting, Kalanithi Maran invited Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar to the reception, accompanied by Kavery.

Earlier, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s official X handle shared photographs of Kavya Maran’s parents meeting him and handing over an invitation to the wedding reception. The post further fuelled speculation surrounding the reported wedding, which has been the subject of discussion over the past few months.

According to his post, the couple's wedding reception will be held on November 21, 2026, in Chennai.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that the couple may tie the knot in Greece on November 11. However, neither Anirudh nor Kavya has officially confirmed the wedding or publicly announced details of the celebrations.

Kalanithi Maran heads the Sun Group, which operates Sun Pictures and owns the IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. His daughter Kavya Maran is closely associated with the cricket team and frequently makes headlines for her appearances during IPL matches and player auctions.

Anirudh, meanwhile, continues to remain busy with several film projects. His recent work includes music for Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 and Nani’s The Paradise. He is also associated with the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan-starrer King.
